In this article we are going to show you how to send invoices and other documents with your own email address while using STEL Order, the online management and invoicing software that offers the quickest and easiest way to create and send invoices from your smartphone or tablet.

1. How to send invoices from your own email address account with STEL Order

send invoices via email

Please take the following steps to access your email configuration in STEL Order:

1. Go to |Settings| by clicking on your username, on the top right corner.
2. Ir a |Email Configuration|

Here you will be able to configure multiple aspects of your email.

The first step is to define which email address you want to use to send business documents from STEL Order.
This is done in the [Send asfield, where you can select one of three options:

1. STEL Order Email Address (info@stelorder.com)
When you send an invoice or any other document, it will be sent from info@stelorder.com.
No configuration is required for this option.
If the recipient replies to your email, it will be sent to your address, not STEL Order’s.

2. Company Email Address
When you send an invoice or any other document, it will be sent from the general email address of your company that you have provided in Settings > Company Information.

3. User Email Address
When you send an invoice or any other document, it will be sent from the user email address that you used to log in.

Once you have selected a Send as option, you will need to fill in the following information:

· [Reply to]: The email address where a reply will eventually be sent to.

· [Send Copy to]: The email address where a copy of the email will be sent once an invoice or any document has been sent over to a client.

· [Send read receipts to]: The email address where a read receipt will be sent to once an email containing an invoice or any other document has been opened by the receiver.

If you have selected your company or user address in the [Send as] section, a new set of options will be made available which you will need to fill in:

· [Email Address]: The email address that will be used to send your emails.

· [Email Password]: The password associated with the email address you entered.

· [SMTP Server]: The SMTP server address for your email address.

· [SMTP Port]: The port for the SMTP server for your email address.

· [Security Protocol]: The security protocol used to connect with your email address.

In the event that the information you entered does not match your email configuration, your client will still receive the document you are sending them.
In this case an email will be sent from info@stelorder.com and, when the receiver replies, the email will go directly to your own email address.

There is also a button at the top of this section to test if the configuration you entered is correct. If you click on [Send test email], an email will be sent to your address to confirm if the system has detected your email configuration and to let you know it’s working.
